2 + 3 = 10

I had five children in my care. Two left because their mother is having a baby. (Congrats Caryn!!) Two more came in, and now I have ten. According to the laws of physics this can't happen, but we're not dealing with physics, we're dealing with children.

It's amazing how quickly they all became friends. It's also amazing how quickly I lost control. I ran a pretty tight ship. I had it down to a science. I had developed a mommy face; the expression that said it all. One look and there was silence or peace or everybody picked up the toys. But now, one look and all my little charges exchange glances and knowingly smirk and grunt out little laughs that say, "What's she mean?" They know what I mean. All at once there was mutiny. I am captive on the bow of my ship and the crew is manning the helm.
